Il "genius loci" del "tratturo". Recupero del retaggio della transumanza nel Parco Nazionale d´Abruzzo, Lazio e Molise (Italia)

Pastoral practice of transhumance, or the seasonal migration of flocks along fixed routes known as "tratturi�, which in the Mezzogiorno (Southern Italy) has ancient origins, has profoundly shaped the social landscape and culture of many southern Italian regions. The territories of ancient transhumance in Southern Italy are nowadays affected by new economic cultures and transhumance has been replaced by sedentary forms of sheepbreeding integrated with agriculture. Nevertheless, the cultural and territorial heritage still exists: this ancient heritage has left signs in the territorial and cultural spheres of these areas, signs that can be still easily understood, read, interpreted. In this context, particularly interesting are the initiatives undertaken in the area of the National Park of Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise (Italy), which are conceived to combine the recovery of this important historical legacy with institutional policies of environmental protection and sustainable tourist promotion.La práctica pastoril de la trashumancia, o la migración estacional de los rebaños a lo largo de rutas fijas conocido como "tratturi", que en el Mezzogiorno (sur de Italia) tiene orígenes antiguos, ha modelado profundamente el paisaje social y cultural de muchas regiones del sur de Italia. Los territorios de la antigua trashumancia en el sur de Italia hoy en día están afectados por las nuevas culturas económicas y la trashumancia ha sido sustituida por formas sedentarias de cría de ovejas integradas con la agricultura. Sin embargo, el patrimonio cultural y territorial todavía existe: esta antigua herencia ha dejado huellas en los ámbitos territorial y cultural de estas zonas, signos que pueden ser aún fácil de entender, leer e interpretar. En este contexto, son particularmente interesantes las iniciativas emprendidas en el área del Parque Nacional de Abruzzo, Lazio y Molise (Italia), porque están concebidos para combinar la recuperación de este importante legado histórico de las políticas institucionales de protección del medio ambiente y la promoción del turismo sostenible
